VICTORIA EXPEDITION LEBANON OKTOBER 2011
ANDI IT Christian Masaad from RUBICON DIVING Lanzarote is leading an expedition to the wreck of the VICTORIA in Lebanon in October 2011.
Christian went to Lebanon in July 2011 to prepare things. He already made three dives on the wreck and attached a new shotline. The old shotline had disappeared completely. For this, he had to make a free descent to around 100 meters, where it took about 15 minutes to find the wreck.
There are participants from Spain, Germany, Australia, Belgium and the UK for the expedition. The goal of the expedition is to document the wreck as good as possible because of future expeditions, and to inspect the bottom part of the wreck. (approx 150m) Sabine Kerkau, ANDI Instructor # 8137 is doing the photo and video work during the dives. Five to six dives are planned on the wreck.
The expedition will be the first after a number of years, and all dives will be made on CCR.
