Dutch ANDI facility now running oil free compressors
EANdiving Service in the Netherlands has removed the oil lubricated compressor and switched to two oil free RIX SA6 compressors (312 L/min) with water separation on the second and third stage. The goal was to produce Ultra Pure Breathing gas with the advantage of less cost on filtering and maintainance, and no worries concerning oil contamination of the blending system. The modified RIX compressors can do up to 50% oxygen for safe continuous blending if you like to do this. A combination has been made here with a TEC SERVE boosterpump for pressures higher then the 200 Bar banks when filling cylinders. (Although the compressors can do 330 Bars) This is done to extend the service interval of the compressors. The booster is also used for oxygen and helium. The system has several 2 micron particle filters on critical places. The main filters (XL) only have molecular sieve in stainless steel cartridges that can be refilled. (Since there is no oil, only water has to be removed) Gas analysis has been performed by Trace Analytics (laboratory test, no tubes test!) , which shows more then excellent results.
Systems can be designed for small, medium or large production using different banksystems and boosterpumps.
